Jammu, Oct 05 (KNO): Massive protests erupted in all parts of Doda district against a Hindu priest Narsinghanand for his derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in Uttar Pradesh. The protests were held in Doda town, Bhaderwah, Thathri and Gundoh areas of the district and people demanded action against the priest. As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Narsinghanand had used derogatory remarks against the prophet in an event in UP and the state government yesterday registered a case against him. People in Doda district raised slogans against the priest and in favour of the prophet. They demanded strict action against the priest and threatened more protests if no action was taken. Speaking on the occasion, people said that using derogatory remarks against the Prophet is the red line, which nobody should cross. "We will tolerate anything but nothing against our prophet. We can sacrifice our lives in his name and will do anything. People from other communities should respect our faith and they must be aware of the red line," they said. Even in other districts, Muslims condemned the priest and asked UP and J&K governments to fake action against the priest—(KNO)
